Limited release
What you're seeing is a semi-limited release of this website. We don't even really have a clever system for updating this News page yet. This release is intended for some final bugfixing and receiving recommendations before the full release, accompanied by cross-site promotion.
Depending on the full release's response, site features may be added over time. A list of current plans are as follows.
Road Map

Login System
Currently, the way that any created Soul-Starers are saved and edited is via a system of tokens that are saved into your browser's Local Storage. One token is generated per SSr, and it's meant to be shown as proof of ownership before editing or deleting an SSr. Part of the reason I adopted this instead of having people register with an E-mail address and password is because of convenience, but part is also security; my hosting provider requires a Premium X-Class Business License Plus (Deluxe Package) to host under HTTPS. This may cause me to change providers eventually, but for now, it means I don't want people to be sharing any kind of sensitive information through my website (for instance, their commonly used passwords). The token system is a good tradeoff because I don't consider the humorous creations made here to have any kind of secure value the same way someone's bank account password would. That still doesn't mean stealing someone's creations would be easy (it would probably require a MITM attack) but it's still less secure than I'd like for long-term usage.
Mobile support
There are no features this site specifically uses that would prevent its use on mobile phones (I can verify you can currently create a SSr from a Windows Phone, at least!) but the styling support isn't where I'd like it to be yet. My early testing involved resizing a desktop browser down to a smaller width; which unfortunately doesn't end up representing how mobile browsers commonly render pages that they think are desktop-targeted. The goal is to avoid making two versions of the site, and at some point I will revisit this to give people better support.
Short names
SSrs are identified by numerical IDs in the URL, but "4338" has less charm than say "lolshark". When possible, IDs may be supplanted by a user-provided shortened title that is used in the URL bar to access an SSr, possibly even from memory on a friend's computer (or as a prank for someone who didn't lock their screen). The generated URL would look something like "soulstarer.com/view/lolshark".
Moderator/Flagging tools
Any site with user-generated content has the potential for abuse and harassment. We make it clear on upload that pornography or hurtful imagery is not allowed, but I'm an independent guy that can't police the whole system. If it grows to any extent, users will need to be able to point out any red flags for review more easily.
